About Me

Whether you’re an empath/deep-feeler, a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), or coping with anxiety or chronic health conditions, I know what it’s like to have your sensitivity misunderstood or your symptoms dismissed. That won’t happen here - I provide a warm, compassionate, and safe space where you will feel seen, believed, and understood.

Embrace your strengths and gifts

  • When you find it difficult to move about the world as others do, you might feel like there’s something wrong with you that needs to be fixed. I help you see your strengths and abilities that are already within you, and explore new ways to harness your deep feeling, sensitive gifts. We bring compassion to your challenges and view your patterns that cause difficulty as adaptive strategies needed long ago in order to help you cope. I invite you to be your own expert as we explore, adjust, and make decisions together.

Befriend your body and regulate your emotions

  • As an HSP and person with chronic illness, I understand the experience of feeling overwhelmed amidst symptoms, overstimulation, pain, or discomfort. By helping to slow down and embrace curiosity, I support you in understanding the messages of your body and emotions, while exploring ways to calm your nervous system and self-soothe. In our work, I incorporate techniques that help you grow a sense of safety and okayness, so you can feel more relief, ease, and at home in your body.

Clarify your needs and take action toward your desires

  • Through building this connection to yourself and accessing your intuition and inner wisdom, together we work to clarify your true needs and desires. I strive to help empower and support you as you begin to take steps, whether that be lifestyle changes, communicating needs or boundaries, or advocating for yourself.

As a helper at heart, I am passionate about the work I do and care deeply about connecting with my clients and listening to their stories. Over the years working in the mental health field, I found myself navigating my own story of immune-related chronic health issues that were often minimized by western medicine, due to their misunderstood and seemingly invisible nature. Learning to regulate my nervous system, connect to my body and emotions, and understand myself as an HSP helped me develop self-compassion, groundedness, and relief that I feel dedicated to supporting in others. Through integrating my personal experiences with my training and education, I strive to help my clients befriend their own unique, sensitive systems and find inner healing.

I love bringing my own authenticity and humanity to therapy. My clients would describe me as warm and compassionate, with a smidge of humor and lightheartedness. Because every person is different, I adapt my approach to your needs and meet you where you are.

I welcome clients of all backgrounds to my practice including BIPOC folks and members of the LGBTQIA2+ community. To ensure you feel comfortable in the therapy space with me, I approach therapy with cultural humility while acknowledging my own privilege as a white therapist, and am committed to continuous learning to best serve my clients. I aim to foster an environment where you can feel seen, heard, and valued for who you are.

In my spare time, I love getting out into nature, traveling to new places, music, meditation, and the enneagram.
